I went there yesterday after the gym to get some laundry detergent. Why Family Dollar, do you ask? Because dumb people are at Wal-Mart and United is too expensive...not to mention Family Dollar is right by my house. I found some cute little baby clothes for my nephews and my friend's baby...well, that has nothing to do with the story....but by the time I got in line, there were about 10 people (yes, at Family Dollar) behind me waiting to check out. Let me give you a mental picture here....one register with 10 people in line...in this REALLY small store!
So by the time it is my turn to check out...it has already been about 10 min. She rang up half of my stuff and then the freakin paper ran out. She had to track down another employee to ask permission to change the tape (dumb, yes) and then it took her another 10 minutes to change it! Oh my gosh! She said, "Sorry ma'am...I am going to have to ring everything up again. First of all, I was like...you are dumb. The other items are still in the register...but whatever. So she rang everything up again and told me my total....$66.88. Are you freakin kidding me?? I said...Umm...I dont think so. It should only be about $30. So she got irritated with me and it took everything in me to not tell her how dumb she was. So she had to call for assistance again and went through every item again. Then tells me..."Well, I have everything on here...your total is $66.88. Oh my freakin goodness, by this time, I almost walked out. So I explained what happened...the items were still in the computer...she shouldnt have rang everything up again....blah blah blah (yes, I, the customer...had to explain to the employee). So FINALLY after being in line for about 30 min total, she cancelled the sale and started over. Wow...what a moron.
So now I add to my dumb list....Family Dollar employees.
